My experience with Neil has provided me with a valuable partner in my realestate dealings. He has helped to guide me through many deals with my best interest in mind. I would recommend and have recommended Neil to many others to sell or seek homes in the phila. area. He has also become a good  friend over the years.

We first met Neil when my son was buying his first home. He was very helpful and always returned phone calls promptly. Being a former Realtor, I knew many Realtors I could have chosen but Neil really impressed me. He took the time with my son and even sent him a very nice hand written note. My  first concern was that he was located in Philadelphia and we were in Bucks County, but he was always there when we needed him. He sold our home in less than a month and in this tough market that was a miracle. Everything went very smooth up to and including the settlement. I would highly recommend him

Neil was recommended to me and my wife by an acquaintance who undersold what a gem he was/is! We had VERY tight requirements and an even tighter budget, but that didn't faze him -- he saw it as an exciting challenge to serve us and NOT a burden as two previous realtors we ditched before finding  Neil had intimated. In fact, he found us a home that has been great for us, negotiated a price we could pay (at a high point in the market, not like today), and he made things as right as possible when the settlement initially fell apart due to an unscrupulous seller. I could not think of using anyone else for my real state needs, not to mention that he is so nice and perceptive that we have kept in touch and I ask his advice occasionally on many matters, both financial/realty related and otherwise!

You will not only find a top-notch realtor who will doggedly represent your needs/actualize your goals in Neil but you will enjoy every minute of his company and that says a lot when you're talking about what is likely the most stressful personal transitionary time besides the treatment of a serious illness, a birth, or a loss. In a sense, I guess, you could call Neil your "domicile doctor!"

I (and my wife) could not recommend him more highly!

Neil Kugelman has been my real estate agent for many transactions of buying and selling in Philadelphia for at least 15 years. He is accessible, knowledgeable, and honest. He gives realistic appraisals for sales and does not inflate values to get listings, only to sell for less in the end. He  is even keel and remains calm in hectic and pressing situations. He has found me some great investment properties, and sold my last home for top dollar in a slow market. Quite simply: THE BEST !!

Neil provided superior service in all aspects of our home selling experience. Neil was able to recommend and line up contractors to help get our house ready for the market, provide valuable counsel on what areas of the house needed updating and getting the best price to drive quick buyer  interest. We highly recommend Neil for any home buyer or seller. An added bonus is Neil's calm demeanor and very positive attitude. Thank you for this opportunity to recommend Neil Kugelman.

Neil was wonderful, patient, honest and knowledgeable. He worked with us for years prior until we were ready to purchase our home as due to the market crash we needed to plan accordingly regarding what to do with our current property in order to purchase a new property. Couldn't ask for a better  realtor.

We have worked with Neil in the purchase of our current and previous home--and in the sale of our two previous homes. There is no one more knowledgeable about the Germantown-Mt Airy-Chestnut Hill region of Philadelphia--and beyond. He is networked with a wide variety of excellent contractors and is  always ready with savvy advice and good referrals for whatever work is needed to make a property market-ready (or more home-y)! His personal integrity is impeccable, and while there's no question that he loves his job and the "games" involved in real estate negotiations, he doesn't play when it comes to offering his clients strategic ideas for securing the best offer, whether buying or selling

Neil is pretty much everything I ever wanted in a realtor, all of the above and more. I was especially impressed with his extensive list of contacts for getting things done. This includes contractors, handymen, inspectors, and advise-givers in every possible area of expertise. It's amazing how many  good people he knows! By settlement date I had an excellent team hand-picked by Neil. More than anything, I think Neil has a level integrity rarely seen in the real estate business. Calm under pressure, fair-minded and tough, at every juncture he gave the highest quality service. I was downsizing, buying a modest little fixer-upper, but Neil treated me like I was buying a million dollar mansion.

As buyers, we hooked up with Neil practically by chance. He happened to be the listing agent for a property that we liked early in our home-buying journey, and upon calling to ask about the property (which had just sold) he invited us to his office to chat. Our first trip to Neil's office would be  the first of many meetings where he was willing to stay well beyond "bank hours" to accommodate our full-time work schedules. His willingness to meet us at 6:30pm on a weekday was one of our first hints that Neil went above and beyond for his clients. Neil has a knowledge of the Germantown/Mt. Airy/Chestnut Hill area and housing market that is nothing short of encyclopedic. This was perhaps the most reassuring aspect of our experience with Neil. Not only has he been in the real estate business for decades, but he's specifically worked in the Northwest Philly area for as long. For this reason he was able to explain to us why certain homes would represent a strong or weak investment, and was plenty patient with our endless questions. In answering those questions he used plain language and kept the jargon to a minimum. As first-time home buyers we appreciated this especially. Once in the houses themselves, Neil was equally confident in pointing out critical aspects of the home's construction that we might have never noticed. The distance between joists, grading/landscaping issues, insulation, are some examples of things that we didn't yet know to look for. As a quickly developing area, Mt. Airy and Germantown seem rife with shoddy rehabs, and Neil was quick to notice hints of cut corners, cheap materials, and poor construction. In the end, we wound up in a dual agency situation wherein Neil was the listing agent for a property that we were buying. This is pretty common from what I understand, but not exactly an ideal situation as it inherently involves a conflict of interests. Despite this, Neil worked hard to make sure that both the buyers and sellers were satisfied with the deal they were getting, and when all was said and done, we ended up getting a super cute house in a cute neighborhood for a fair price, and on terms that were about equally favorable to us and the sellers. All told, Neil was was a strong advocate and invaluable resource. Go Neil!

A gentleman and very knowledgeable professional who also was patient and supportive during an emotional experience selling a childhood home. The property took some time to prepare for sale and Neil was very helpful in providing suggestions and resources to assist with readiness of the property. Any  questions that would come my way, Neil patiently responded and provided a number of venues to ask a question to which he responded within a short period of time. I would highly recommend Neil who knows the business and without a doubt will do his best to make the process work effectively and efficiently.

Neil was great. Not only knowledgeable but lots of fun to work with. He sold our old home and helped us find our new one in 1990, then 10 years later sold that home for us. He was realistic with our expectations for the sales of our homes, but also right on with what upgrades would maximize our  sale. The description of the townhouse we were selling made me want to buy it. I'm a gardener and he described it as being in a park-like setting. When looking for that townhouse he was a blast to drive around with in his minivan, with my whole family in tow.

My wife and I highly recommend working with Neil to sell your home. We entered the real estate market in 2011. Our home had few comparable sales in the market and some other location hurdles. Neil was key to every stage of the sale from posting and finding a buyer to handling details all  through the negotiations. Neil was a calm smart representative all the way to closing. We have recommended Neil many times and hope to work with him again in the future.

I wanted to relocate and my friend told me about this wonderful Real Estate man who had helped him with his new purchase. When I met Neil I immediately liked him. He was warm, friendly and very easy to talk to. He listened to what I wanted and why. We then had a discussion about the pros and cons  of what was available both in terms of cost and where I wanted to live. Neil helped me wade through all the information that I had no idea I needed to know. Throughout he was there to hold my hand when needed. Tell me why I shouldn't be looking at certain properties etc. The experience was more like a friend helping me find my dream home than a realtor. In the end he made it happen for me. I was happy with my purchase and I'm happy with it today. I still reach out to Neil when I have a question about properties. I'm no longer a customer but he still takes the time to help me. You cannot go wrong working with Neil no matter what your realty needs may be. I give him my highest endorsement

I was single with no children and absolutely knew nothing about purchasing a home, but I saw one in the Germantown section of Philadelphia that was beautiful, and so I inquired. It was the end of the 90's, and I was 23 years old when I walked into Neil Kugleman's office at Elfant Wissahickon.  Although themail house I saw was already under contract, it didn't stop Neil from helping me. He did as he promised, found another just like it on a great block. Time had gone by and I'd move on from that property. 17 years later, I was ready to do it all over again! I called to see if Neil was available and he was! To make a long story short: The house I wanted appeared online on a Thursday, there were 5 offers by Monday, Neil already had me pre-approved and so I was ready to go. Neil got in there and worked hard for me as a client, and this is why I am writing this review from my new bedroom! Neil is caring, honest, and hard-working. He stays relaxed even when the client may be a ball of nerves! I had come across some overly-eagered realtors, but Neil, he will never do anything under-handed or pull any tricks out of the bag; He is forthcoming with all truths and details to protect you, the client. Neil is fantastic! Thanks Neil for responding, your hard work, trustworthiness and dedication.
